An Elden Ring streamer has managed to defeat the game’s toughest boss, Malenia, Blade of Miquella, using a dance mat… at level one.Twitch user MissMikkaa captured the feat on stream (and shared it on Twitter, below), showing off the incredibly impressive accomplishment that took exactly 553 tries across more than 15 hours.Using her feet to control everything from the direction of movement to sword swinging and the use of items, MissMikkaa was also only hit a handful of times on the final attempt, pointing out that she only used four healing flasks during the fight.I DID IT! I killed Malenia LEVEL 1 with a DANCE PAD! It took me 553 tries and over 15 hours. I only used 4 healing flasks on the kill. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! Developer FromSoftware didn’t help the situation by removing a popular way to defeat her, and a glitch made her ridiculously overpowered.Other mods have even pitted Malenia against every other boss in the game (and it didn’t end well for most of them) and also turned every enemy in the game into Malenia. To balance the universe, however, a hero emerged to put Malenia in her place. Elden Ring’s most legendary player, Let me Solo Her, would appear in players’ games to take Malenia down single-handedly, and has now done so more than 1,000 times.Despite releasing back in February, Elden Ring has continued to capture the imagination of its players, as proven by the number of adaptations being released. FromSoftware’s latest has received an official manga (that’s a comedy, weirdly), and just last month an official board game was announced. In our 10/10 review of the game, IGN said: “Elden Ring is a massive iteration on what FromSoftware began with the Souls series, bringing its relentlessly challenging combat to an incredible open world that gives us the freedom to choose our own path.”To make those choices with the best available information, check out our guide that features everything you could ever hope to know about Elden Ring, including collectible locations, boss strategies, and more.Every IGN FromSoftware Game ReviewRyan Dinsdale is an IGN freelancer.
