The rumours were true, Sony is in fact hosting a State Of Play showcase this month, as it has done now for the last few years. As if PlayStation wanted to make the announcement as close to the event as possible, it was only confirmed Monday evening. It’ll be streamed live through all of PlayStation’s usual channels, at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 11pm BT.While the rumours around the showcase may not have gotten the exact date right, the showcase itself isn’t too far off. Now that we know it’s coming however, the big question is, what will we see there.Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection getting its PC release date announced seems quite likely, especially since the date has been leaked twice now, both from Epic and Steam. It also wouldn’t be surprising to see a bit more of God Of War Ragnarok, with its release coming this November. What’s hopefully there, is more news on PS VR2, and not just more games coming to the platform, but the release date for the console itself.September showcases are usually the ones where we see PlayStation drop some its biggest news for the year, and the release date for PS VR2 feels like it would be the biggest news PlayStation could drop tomorrow. The only thing that would maybe match that, could be the reveal that Half-Life: Alyx will be coming to PS VR2. Of course both, would be best.Failing that, let’s hope we get to see something from one of the PlayStation Studios teams that’ve been a bit quiet lately. Perhaps Team Asobi, with a new Astro Bot game?Source – [PlayStation]
