Many will be hoping that this show will pick up that baton, perhaps including news for the delayed Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel, the rebooted Metroid Prime 4, or even the long-absent Pikmin 4. There’s also the long-rumoured (and repeatedly denied) ‘Switch Pro’, which some believe will come along at some point. The last fully-fledged Nintendo Direct came in February, and included a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 release date, reveal of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC, and more. Since then we’ve had game-focused Directs for Xenoblade and Splatoon 3.Joe Skrebels is IGN’s Executive Editor of News. Follow him on Twitter. Have a tip for us? Want to discuss a possible story?
