During today’s Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, we learned about a curious remaster that you might have missed during the event if you blinked: Gargoyles. We’re getting a Gargoyles Remaster.Developed by Empty Clip Studios (which most recently worked on the Streets of Rage and Yakuza mash-up Streets of Kamurocho), Gargoyles Remastered is exactly what it says on the tin: a remaster of the classic platformer that was out on the Sega Genesis in 1995.Gargoyles Remastered is planned for release on console and PC with updated visuals and controls, but there’s no release date for it yet.If you’re less than familiar with Gargoyles itself, the game is based on the Disney animated series of the same name that aired back in the 90s and followed a group of gargoyles in then-modern-day New York City who protect it fromfrom various supernatural villains. It was a part of the Disney Afternoon programming back in the day, and has become a bit of a cult hit over the years.
