PW.Orca can carry 15 kg of payload in a 96 liters volume. It is designed with safety in mind and is the right choice for bulky and heavy goods. PW.Orca is authority friendly with its outstanding wingspan-to-payload ratio, redundant sensors, powertrains, actuators, and integrated parachute system. Its unique design will turn heads.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES
Carry up to 15 kg in a 96 liters payload bay at 110 km/hConnect using triple C2 Link (Satcom, 4G/3G/2G and PW.Link)Stay safe with redundant powertrains, sensors and actuators
Stay even safer with a parachute systemDesigned for SAIL II to SAIL IV operations
OUTPACE GROUND-BOUND TRANSPORT
Designed from scratch. To fulfill your needs.
PW.Orca is designed from the ground up to fulfill your needs as a professional logistics provider: the fast, reliable and cost-effective transportation of your customers goods to places that are hard to reach by traditional means. The heavy-duty drone provides more payload capability than any other competitor in its class. The payload compartment accommodates all applicable box size standards, as well as the possibility for loading and unloading automation through the cargo rail system, embedded payload doors and nose canopy.
Its high cruise speed of 110 km/h minimizes the time to destination – and allows PW.Orca to perform more jobs in the same timeframe. Despite its high speed, PW.Orca can serve up to 160 kilometres. Do you prefer a longer range over the full payload capacity? Just add more battery modules! This can be done within seconds by a single operator.
MINIMIZE IDLE TIME
Only a drone that’s airborne is a drone working for you. That’s why PW.Orca is designed to spend as much time en route as possible. Short turnaround times, rapid and minimal maintenance and suitability for more adverse weather conditions allow you to deliver reliably and consistently. This is why we have implemented incredibly efficient turnaround procedures to reduce the non-productive time on the ground. The payload and batteries required for the next mission are prepared on a slide-in pallet on the ground while the aircraft is still in the air. After the drone has landed, the pallet is exchanged effortlessly by only one person within seconds. For customers that prefer to swap the battery independently of the cargo, the batteries can be installed in a rail system above the cargo.

TRANSPORT RELIABLY
PW.Orca stays operative while others have to remain on the ground. The heavy-duty drone with its airframe and proprietary flight control algorithms easily handles wind speeds of up to 45 km/h (28 mph). Furthermore, PW.Orca can withstand other adverse weather conditions like light rain and sea salt aerosols.
The PW.Orca design abandons all unnecessary gimmicks.
The drone is engineered to be constructed of fewer parts that can fail. In the unlikely event of a part failure, it can be replaced quickly. Furthermore, if a part should fail, PW.Orca will, in many cases, still ship its cargo to the customer. Redundant powertrains, control surface actuation and sensors make this possible. In addition, maintenance won’t keep you on the ground for long.
GET A THUMBS UP FROM AVIATION AUTHORITIES
PW.Orca allows you to operate beyond visual line of sight over sparsely populated areas.
PW.Orca is designed to the guidelines of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Operations fall into the ‘specific’ category. Its less than 3 m wingspan and parachute rescue system allow it to operate beyond visual line of sight over sparsely populated areas in the Specific Assurance and Integrity Level SAIL II. This is the lowest SAIL for operation outside restricted airspaces. Correspondingly, the provisions that come along with this SAIL are easy to achieve.
Ultimately, this means less time and money spent on paperwork, expensive infrastructure and operator training.
For more sophisticated operations, such as flights over populated or urban areas, PW.Orca can also apply for SAIL IV operation in the future.
PW.Orca is a low-emission aircraft. For one thing, zero greenhouse gas emissions. For another, its low noise signature enables your routes over populated areas without public complaints, which your customers and fellow human beings will appreciate. The triple redundant communication link, consists of a 2.4 GHz PW.Link, 4G/3G/2G and Satcom, provides a stable link in many environments.
