The Backyard Brawl ticket prices reflect how Pitt and West Virginia reviving their rivalry is one of the most anticipated games to start the 2022 season.

If you’re in the Pennsylvania or West Virginia and you’re not thinking about how great it would be to go to the Backyard Brawl then there’s something wrong.

The heated rivalry is returning to the football field on Thursday night for the first time since 2011. It’ll be a perfect spectacle to get Week 1 of the college football season off the ground.

What does it cost to attend?

On SeatGeek, fans could pick up tickets starting at $156 for the upper decks.

Where are they playing the Backyard Brawl 2022?

The Mountaineers and Panthers will battle it out at Acrisure Stadium, formerly known as Heinz Field, as a Pitt home game. This is the sixth time the rivalry will be played there, the first time since 2010.

Could the Backyard Brawl attendance record be broken?

The attendance record for a Pitt football game is 69,983, which they set against Penn State in 2016. This year’s Backyard Brawl could break that record.

While fans young and hold will be happy to welcome back the rivalry festivities, the players involved in this battle will be getting their first taste of the Backyard Brawl. It was last played in 2011 when most of the rosters hadn’t even hit high school.

It’ll also be the first taste of Pitt or West Virginia football for starting quarterbacks Kedon Slovis and JT Daniels respectively. The USC transfers on both sides of the battle will look to start their tenure off the right way by notching a big rivalry victory.
