343 Industries has rolled out a new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection that fixes a buggy achievement, adds some new content, and makes numerous improvements to the collection of games. The Halo: The Master Chief Collection August update is a whopper, bringing with it a massive list of fixes and changes. One notable fix 343 has introduced is for the buggy Swift and Shallow achievement. Elsewhere, 343 has added five new Spartan armour sets for Halo 2: Anniversary, Golden Moa Campaign collectables in Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach, and new Forge options in Halo: Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 2: Anniversary. The Swift and Shallow achievement, which we have flagged as buggy, is an easy one that simply asks you to hijack a Banshee during the Reach campaign. While many report the achievement unlocking without issue, some say they’re struggling to see it pop. As per the August update’s patch notes, 343 says a new fix will allow the Swift and Shallow achievement to “unlock more consistently when hijacking Banshees in campaign.” The patch notes for the August update are pretty lengthy, so if you want to view them in full, we recommend checking out Halo Support.
