Sony Japan has published a teaser web page showing off the first glimpse of what appears to be its next camera product.
The teaser, which can be found via a dedicated page on Sony Japan’s website, features the tagline ‘Cinematography meets robotics’ and notes a release date of September 6, 2022 – the day before Apple is set to release its next iPhone devices and two days before Fujifilm’s X-Summit event.
There’s an image behind the tagline, but it doesn’t appear to show off too much. Using some context clues from the image and tagline, however, it appears as though the image is showing some kind of lens with both a focus and zoom ring attached to some gimbal mechanism. The exact layout, however, isn’t clear, so it looks like we’ll be waiting a week before we find out more.
