Victoria 3, the in-depth historical strategy title from the makers of Crusader Kings and “one of the most anticipated games in Paradox’s history,” now has a release date of October 25th. [updated]Update: Paradox has reached out to inform us that Victoria 3 will not be joining PC Game Pass on release in October after all, or even coming to the Microsoft Store at launch. Previous communication such as the monthly update videos have included the PC Game Pass logo at the end (and still do as of this update), though this is no longer present in the most recent update video. As per an update on the Paradox forums, “the game will be a Steam exclusive at the release — after discussion with our partners it was decided that Victoria 3 won’t be a part of Game Pass or Microsoft Store. Xbox fans of Paradox’s epic grand strategy titles can enjoy our games like Crusader Kings III, Stellaris, Shadowrun Trilogy, Hearts of Iron IV and more with Game Pass today and we look forward to sharing more details on our next partnership with Xbox in the future.”Updated story: Paradox Interactive gave us a gameplay stream for its upcoming strategy game Victoria 3, also confirming its October release date.Victoria 3 bringing historical strategy to PC in OctoberParadox’s previous strategy opus Crusader Kings 3 has done pretty well for itself, originally enjoying a successful launch into PC Game Pass back in 2020, before making a surprisingly adept transition to Xbox earlier this year. Victoria 3’s Steam page tells us a little more about the team’s next game, stating that it “invites you to build your ideal society in the tumult of the exciting and transformative 19th century. Balance the competing interests in your society and earn your place in the sun in Victoria 3.”Looking forward to putting on your historical strategy hat and aiming to become a global superpower when Victoria 3 launches for PC on October 25th?
