Caeleb Dressel wins gold, sets another world record in 100m butterfly (Video)

United States swimmer Caeleb Dressel won his third gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by breaking a world record in the 100-meter butterfly.

United States swimmer Caeleb Dressel has enjoyed some great success at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He earned a gold medal in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay and later broke an Olympic record by winning gold in the 100-meter freestyle by clocking in at 47.02 seconds. Dressel was far from finished collecting gold.

Dressel took home his third gold medal of the 2020 Summer Olympics in the 100-meter butterfly by breaking a world record!

Caeleb Dressel breaks world record in 100-meter butterfly

Dressel clocked in at 49.45 seconds in the 100-meter butterfly, which broke the previous record set at 49.50 seconds. It just so happens that Dressel set the previous record himself back in the 2019 world championships!

There may be more medals heading Dressel’s way, as he is set to participate in the 50-meter freestyle and in the mixed 4x100m medley relay.
