Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 screenshots look to have leaked online from a recent event that included players from the LA Rams, and they seem to show the existence of the rumoured Escape from Tarkov-style DMZ mode. As reported by Charlie Intel, Activision invited the American football team, the LA Rams, to an early preview of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, which led to a few of the players posting some now-deleted screenshots of the game online, some of which seem to point to the existence of the leaked Escape from Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode and Valderas Museum map.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 screenshots leak onlineThe images that Charlie Intel tweeted above have now been deleted by their original sources, which would indicate that the players had broken their embargos, but they do uncover a little more about the upcoming game. The Rams’ Cameron Dicker, before deleting and uploading key art, posted about the team loading into a game of Team Deathmatch on the previously leaked Valderas Museum map. The most notable image leak, though, comes from another player that posted an image that clearly shows, and ultimately seems to confirm, the existence of the rumoured DMZ mode. It’s an extraction-style mode much like Escape from Tarkov and Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone, which tasks you with dropping into the map — said to be the same as the one that’ll be used in Warzone 2 — to destroy supplies, locate some intel, and then extract.Activision hasn’t announced the mode just yet, but with the Call of Duty League Championship taking place this Sunday, August 7th, we’re hopeful that we’ll learn more then. Remember, you can be in for winning an early access code to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 open beta by watching the championship. What do you think of the screenshots?
