At WWE SummerSlam, Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a chaotic Last Man Standing match that included the use of a tractor.
WWE SummerSlam has been an eventful show, to say the least. Every show has to go out on a high note, and WWE ended the show with Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This was not a regular one-on-one match, as this was a Last Man Standing match, where the winner is the person who was able to keep their opponent down for the count of 10.
Reigns was able to retain his championship by keeping Lesnar down for the count of 10. It was far from an easy feat for “the Tribal Chief,” as he had to contend with tables, steel steps, an attempted Money in the Bank cash-in, and a tractor. Yes, a tractor.
Twitter reacts to chaotic Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar match at SummerSlam
Twitter users could not help but share their thoughts on the chaos they were watching between Lesnar and Reigns.
Lesnar dominated Reigns in portions of the match, hitting him with the steel steps, and even the end of a broken table. Not to mention that Lesnar put Reigns in the scoop of the tractor, lifted him high in the air and dumped him into the ring.
Reigns seemingly appeared to be on the verge of losing, but he found a way to get to his feet before the count of 10. After Reigns got up at the count of nine following a guillotine choke, Lesnar got frustrated and proceeded to move and lift the ring up into the air with the tractor! Yes, you read that correctly. See for yourself.
As if things could not get any crazier, Lesnar F-5’ed his former advocate, Paul Heyman, through the announce table.
Theory attempted to cash-in the Money in the Bank contract after this, but was instantly foiled by Lesnar, who hit him with an F-5 onto his briefcase. When Reigns got to his feet, he even attacked a downed Theory with the briefcase as well. After hitting spears on Lesnar, and even the title belts, Lesnar would not stay down for the count of 10. But, Reigns and his cousins, the Uso’s, were able to bury Lesnar under a pile of tables and chairs to get the victory.
This was booked as the final time that Reigns and Lesnar would ever face off in a ring. Well if this was truly it, they made it the most chaotic match they have ever had against one another.
