Playground Games has shown more gameplay footage of Forza Horizon 5 in a new livestream, detailing a couple of Mexico’s biomes and showcasing a full race.In the latest Forza Horizon 5 Let’s Go! livestream, Playground Games showcased two biomes: Swamp and Jungle. The Swamp is filled with shallow waters (all of which can be driven through) and a lot of mangrove trees with interconnected roots that you can smash through, changing the route of a race. The Swamp connects to the Jungle biome, which is filled with towering trees, waterfalls, rivers, and hidden temples. In total, Forza Horizon 5 will feature 11 biomes: Canyon, Tropical Coast, Farmland, Arid Hills, Jungle, Living Desert, Rocky Coast, Sand Desert, Swamp, Urban City of Guanajuato, Volcano. You can see screenshots of some of the biomes (which look incredibly impressive) below. Playground Games also showcased a small snippet of gameplay in the Volcano biome in both the summer and winter seasons. The volcano, which is the largest geographical feature ever in a Forza Horizon game, provides a view from the top, where you can see the entirety of Forza Horizon 5’s game world. It also features two of the biggest switchbacks (a section of road that zigzags up steep terrain) in a Forza game, plenty of downhill rally trails, drift zones, and much more. For those hoping to get a look at Forza Horizon 5’s full map, Playground says it will be detailing FH5’s Mexico in the next Forza Horizon 5 Let’s Go! stream in two weeks. In previous streams, Playground has revealed that FH5 will utilise ray tracing for its audio and that there will be regional and seasonal weather, including some towering dust storms.
