Servers for the free-to-play battle royale game Spellbreak will close in “early 2023,” developer Proletariat has announced. As confirmed in a blog post, Spellbreak’s servers will close sometime in early 2023 (Proletariat hasn’t given a firm server shutdown date). Naturally, all 11 Spellbreak achievements will be discontinued once the server closure hits.Spellbreak server shutdown set for early 2023No reason has been given for the shutdown, but we’d imagine it’s down to a dwindling player base. “After more than four years of elemental magic and spell combinations, we’ve made the decision to end development of Spellbreak,” the Spellbreak development team said. “The servers will be shut down as of early 2023. Thank you to the millions of players who have joined us in the Hollow Lands since 2018; it’s been an amazing journey.” You now have until “early 2023” to unlock any achievements in Spellbreak you might need. It’s hard to say how long you have left without a firm closure date, but you have at least six months to get Spellbreak’s list done. The achievements look to be a big ol’ grind, and estimates suggest you’re going to need to invest around 60 hours for the completion if you haven’t started it already. Will you be attempting a Spellbreak completion? Are you sad to see this one go? Let us know down in the comments. Thanks to thesuperbob49 in the TA Discord for the heads-up on this one!
