Popular PS1 platformer Pac-Man World is the next classic game to get the remake treatment — Bandai Namco has announced that Pac-Man World Re-Pac will be heading to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on August 26th.Hot on the heels of Pac-Man Museum+ joining Xbox Game Pass last month, another classic Pac-Man title will be making a comeback soon. Check out the first trailer for remake Pac-Man World Re-Pac below.Pac-Man World Re-Pac announcement trailerFor the uninitiated, in Pac-Man World, “Pac-Man arrives home on his birthday to find the Ghosts have kidnapped Pac-Man’s family & friends and ruined his party! Pac-Man must set out to adventure through the six areas of Ghost Island to rescue his family and friends, and face-off against the Ghosts’ boss, Toc-Man!” As a traditional 3D platformer, it’s a bit of a departure from the maze-roaming antics of the arcade originals, but it still managed to develop something of a fan following, especially with those who grew up with the 1999 PlayStation release. Pac-Man World Re-Pac is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One alongside every other major platform on August 26th. Excited to see Pac-Man World return? Which Pac-Man classic should Bandai Namco look to bring back next? Let us know!
