PowerA has launched its own entry into the Designed for Xbox mobile controller scene and comes absolutely loaded with features for the price, and aims to enhance your Xbox Cloud Gaming experience. We’re seeing Designed for Xbox mobile controllers pop up all over the place, with the likes of the Razer Kishi and Nacon’s MGX and MGX-Pro all aiming to give you a better experience when playing via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Now PowerA has launched its own controller into the space, and while it shares a similar design to its competition, the MOGA XP7-X Plus is offering even more features at a competitive price.PowerA MOGA XP7-X Plus now availableIf you’re in the market for a new dedicated mobile controller to use Cloud Gaming via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, then PowerA’s newest model, the MOGA XP7-X Plus, might be a controller worth considering. It’s available now on the PowerA website for $99.99 and sports a fairly robust number of features compared to the competition at that price point. The MOGA XP7-X Plus is of the same design as the Nacon MGX Pro that we took for a spin last year, so expect a retractable inner grip for your phone that allows it to be packed away in a smaller form factor, as well as a more conventional controller design. On top of the base controller features that you find on a regular Xbox Wireless Controller, PowerA’s offering looks to sport two rear remappable buttons, which are said to offer you on-the-fly remapping when in-game. On top of that, it features a 2000mAh rechargeable power bank that’ll wirelessly charge your phone while you play, which is operated by a dedicated on/off switch. One of the coolest features, though, is its detachable stand, which allows you to play your games in ‘Tabletop Mode,’ instead of you having to find something to prop up your phone if you’re fed up with holding it. The stand is designed to hold both phones and tablets, and due to the MOGA XP7-X Plus connecting to your device via Bluetooth, the controller can be used much like a regular controller even when it’s in its compact state. What do you think of the controller?
