79% Of PS5, PS4 Games Sold In Sony’s Latest Quarter Were Purchased Digitally

Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed during its latest financial results that a staggering 79% of PS5, PS4 games shifted in the quarter were digital goods as opposed to physical copies.Digital sales have gradually been on the up over the past few years, and back in Q1 2021, digital purchases were at 71%. That figure dropped to 62% during the following quarter and the one after that, before jumping again to 71 during the fourth quarter.The beginning of the 2022 fiscal year however saw digital sales rise to 79%.
