Vampire Survivors is one of the best games on Game Pass, but global Xbox achievement data reveals a rather interesting, but kind of sad, tidbit of information: 33% of Vampire Survivors Xbox players haven’t managed to survive in the game for more than a minute and end their run.The Hollow Heart achievement is one of the first achievements players will unlock when jumping into Vampire Survivors. It’s incredibly simple to pop as all it asks you to do is stay alive for a full minute with any character (and finish your run), which is kind of the whole point of Vampire Survivors. Hollow Heart should be impossible to miss, but weirdly, 67% of Vampire Survivors players who have fired up the game on Xbox have the achievement, leaving a third of players without it. As for TA members, 99% of tracked Vampire Survivors players have unlocked Hollow Heart — good job, gang. Over on Steam, 98% of Vampire Survivors players have Hollow Heart, which is more in line with what you’d expect for the simple achievement. We’re not exactly sure why a third of Xbox players who have loaded up Vampire Survivors haven’t unlocked the achievement (though it’s not exactly a new phenomenon with achievements like this — 30% of players haven’t opened the inventory in Minecraft), but as far as we can tell, it’s not broken and should be unlocking correctly. One reason could be that with the lower barrier of entry Xbox Game Pass provides, players can check out the game, realize it’s not quite what they had in mind, and quit out before completing their first run at no expense to them. If this is the case, then it’s a bit of a shame to see as Vampire Survivors is truly excellent, and it really deserves more than a minute of a player’s attention and several runs.If you did try Vampire Survivors and realize it wasn’t quite your cup of tea, absolutely give it another go because once it gets its fangs into you, I promise, you will be hooked, and you’ll want to go through and unlock all 196 Vampire Survivors achievements.
