Millions of Xbox players have jumped into Starfield in the two weeks since it launched into early access, but according to the Starfield achievements, more than a quarter of these players haven’t even made it into space. Starfield achievement data reveals that over a quarter of Xbox players haven’t gone into spaceFor All, Into the Starfield is the first achievement players unlock in Starfield and it’s awarded when the player flies off into space for the first time. It’s a story achievement that is impossible to miss, but looking at global Xbox achievement data, it turns out that only 75% of Xbox players have the achievement, which means a quarter of players who have booted up the game haven’t made it into the titular starfield. There could be several reasons for this. We have seen a few reports on TrueAchievements of For All, Into the Starfield not unlocking correctly for players, though the TrueAchievements unlock percentage for achievement currently sits at 99.81% (good job, gang). Mods on PC also disable achievements, so it’s possible that a fair few space adventurers are missing the achievement as they’re tinkering away with all sorts of player-created changes to the game, including some weird flashlights. It’s also possible that players just didn’t get on with Starfield’s opening mission and switched off before popping the achievement.Interestingly, looking at the Starfield Steam achievements, the unlock percentage for For All, Into the Starfield is higher at 88%. One reason why it might be higher is because they have to buy the game, so they’re going to be more invested. A lot of Xbox Starfield players are curious gamers checking it out via Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass — if they don’t gel with it quickly, many of them will likely never get to the point where the first achievement unlocks.Other interesting tidbits we can glean from the Starfield Xbox achievements are that only 56% of players have joined Constellation, 46% of players have made it to level 5, 30% of players have modified a ship, and 21% of players have built an outpost. As for completing Starfield’s story, just 2.5% of Xbox players have managed it so far, but of course, it’s still very early days, and it’s pretty easy to get lost in the plethora of interesting side missions Starfield has to offer. Bethesda recently announced its roadmap for Starfield updates and confirmed that numerous community-requested features are on the way, including an FOV slider and DLSS support. Players have also found a bug in Starfield that lets you loot a store through a puddle for infinite credits.
