Pocket Gamer Connects is all about bringing the industry together to learn, network and build great new business partnerships.
In 2024 we’ll be celebrating 10 years since the conference began, kicking off with Pocket Gamer Connects London 2024 on January 22nd to 23rd.
Still on the fence about heading to the event? As part of our look back at the last 10 years, we’ve been asking attendees for their best stories from the show floor and how the conference has helped build their business and career.
Below, Zaibatsu Interactive CEO Jussi Ultima and Reality+ co-founder Tony Pearce share their favourite PGC memories.
“There have been so many great PGC events,” said Pearce.
“Since attending the first event back in 2014, I’ve been a huge supporter of Chris and his team. I have some great memories presenting at the inaugural PGC London, to DJing in Dubai, climbing the cliffs of Petra, gambling in Seattle and partying in San Francisco.
“Even when Covid came along, they had the first virtual event about web3 and blockchain games. Never stop PGC team, you guys rock!”
Zaibatsu Interactive’s Jussi Ultima said attending the Big Indie Pitch – which returns once again at PGC London 2024 – proved to be a valuable experience after getting feedback from experienced industry judges.
“I participated in the Very Big Indie Pitch for the first time in 2015 and several times after that,” he said.
“Each time, I have received valuable feedback from seasoned judges that has helped me grow not only as a professional in the games industry, but also as an individual. In 2022, I had the honour of returning to the VBIP – this time as one of expert judges.”
