Jake Browning has done everything right off of the field for the Minnesota Vikings, but it might not be enough to get him on the 53-man roster.
Mike Zimmer has been going through it this offseason and preseason. His team hasn’t been able to hit a decent vaccination threshold, his QB1 has been giving him grief and finally, he’s gotta consider the health of some of his best players as the season starts to roll in.
There’s a silver lining in all of this, though. Jake Browning may be exactly what the Vikings need to make the bounce back entering the first week of the regular seas–
Oh what was that? You said they might cut Jake Browning, too?
Jake Browning could be let go by the Vikings after this
Browning had a promising start at the opening of training camps, but it hasn’t translated into the preseason. He just may be on the chopping block due to his lackluster performance over these past few preseason games.
This was reported by The Athletic’s Vikings beat writer Chad Graff on twitter, who seemed to be as upset as any Vikings fan, especially with the way his other quarterbacks have been performing. While he may be the only youngin’ cut, there’s plenty more vets on the chopping block.
At this point, it’s probably best to gather in prayer and hope for a decent season for Minnesota fans.
