Chucklefish’s Eastward Coming September 16

Players will be able to discover the weird, wild, and wonderful world of Pixpil and Chucklefish’s Eastward when it comes out on September 16, 2021.

Set in a future where society is starting to collapse, the human population of Eastward is at an all-time low after a deadly toxic presence spread across the land. However, an unlikely duo sets off on an adventure above, traversing its world by rail and meeting a quirky cast of characters.

This title will feature rich pixel art, which has been created using a combination of modern 3D lighting and retro-pixel style artwork. Lending his talents to the game is Composer Joel Corelitz (Death Stranding, Halo Infinite), along with sound design from Irish studio Hyperduck Soundworks.
Making its debut during Indie World today, you can see the game in action with the trailer below:

Eastward – Release Date Announcement Trailer

The game will come out for the Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC. In the case of the latter, you can pre-order the game on Steam here for a 10% discount.
