Stickman Hook is a game about swinging through levels, grappling onto certain points and bouncing off others. It’s an idea most people are going to be familiar with, but there’s a lot going on behind the scenes here that you’re going to want to get to grips with.
Luckily, though, you’ve come to the right place. In this strategy guide we’re going to show you some of the best hints, tips and tricks that we’ve discovered during our time playing Stickman Hook.
Whether you’re new to the game or you’ve been swinging around for a while, the information here is definitely going to take your game up a notch. So let’s hit it – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Stickman Hook.
Watch the circles
You’ll want to watch the circles around the hook points so you know which one you’re going to attach to – there’s no selecting here, you just grab the one that the circle is around. The circle moves as you move, so keep an eye on it and make sure you’re not going to be grappling onto a hook point that’s going to send you backwards.
Use the bounce pads
The bounce pads are a great way to launch yourself forwards. In fact, on some levels, you can get to the finish line without ever grappling on to anything. Be careful though, because the bounce pads can send you in the wrong direction if you don’t catch them right. They can get you out of tricky situations, but get you into them too.
Only hook if you have to
If you’ve got some decent momentum going, then hooking onto something can often ruin that. You don’t have to catch every hook point to succeed – in fact, more often than not, that’s going to bring you to a screeching halt. Push your luck, keep moving forwards and only grapple when you absolutely have to.
How do I unlock new characters?
There are a number of different ways. Some of them you’ll unlock by completing certain levels, others you’ll need to watch videos to get. There are also characters you can only get if you play the different modes, and some you’ll have to pay to get in an IAP bundle. Check the shop to see what you need to do.
Play the races and challenges
The races and the challenges give you different rewards, and change the way the game plays. Races are open from the start, and you can find them on the main menu. The challenges are also there, but you’ll need to finish level 25 of the campaign mode to get them.
