Fantasy owners were able to survive the slog that was the running back position during Week 7. This week, things get a lot easier.

The bye week disaster that was Week 7 is over, and now people can have a normalish week in fantasy football. The NFL is getting back Dalvin Cook, James Robinson, Ezekiel Elliott, Austin Ekeler, and Najee Harris while only losing whatever the Raiders and Ravens running back situations are. It’s an amazing trade-off for NFL fans and fantasy players.

There are hairy situations around the NFL backfields. D’Ernest Johnson won people leagues who were bold enough to play him, but it sounds like Nick Chubb is ready to return this Sunday for the Cleveland Browns. Miles Sanders is almost definitely going to miss the game on Sunday, but do fantasy owners play Kenneth Gainwell or Boston Scott? Saquon Barkley is out this week. Is there any reason to touch the Giants as a fantasy option?

10 running back sleepers who fantasy football owners should target in NFL Week 8

10. Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills

Devin Singletary is getting a lot of eyes this week coming off the Buffalo Bills’ bye week. The Bills have been splitting time pretty evenly between Zach Moss and Singletary over the first six weeks of the season. Singletary is starting to get some big chunks of yards on the ground, but his passing stats should be better.

Singletary has five targets twice this season, including five receptions during his last game. The issue is his receptions are going for no yards. He had an average of three yards per reception against the Tennessee Titans. That’s bad. His averages on the ground are really good, however, and they are much better than Moss so far. He is averaging 5.4 yards per carry. The Bills will find a way to make him useful this week against the sputtering Miami Dolphins.
