The CS2 skin trade is a thriving virtual economy—and like any economy it needs to continually stimulate demand by coming up with cool new stuff.
One of the coolest new things to appear in CS2 in recent years is the Anubis Package, an ancient Egypt-themed collection of exotically designed gun skins.
Unlike other collections, the Anubis Package is available to open within the game. That means you can claim Anubis collection CS2/CS:GO skins without first obtaining a key.
Drops from the Anubis Package are random, so you can’t ever be certain that you’re going to get the skin you’re looking for. Fortunately, there’s a way to remove risk from the equation by simply trading skins directly.
There are several ways of doing this, including the Steam Market and a number of third-party skin trading platforms.
But there are separate risks associated with third-party trades, including the possibility of encountering scams. Tread carefully.
There are 19 different skins in the Anubis Package. These are our top 10.
M4A4 | Eye of Horus
The M4A4 | Eye of Horus is one of the rarest skins in CS2—and therefore one of the most sought-after and expensive.
Classified as Covert Rarity, with an estimated drop rate below 0.5%, this is a seriously stylish item that features a nod to the sun god Ra in the form of a soaring falcon.
Glock-18 | Ramese’s Reach
The Glock-18 | Ramese’s Reach is a fantastic choice of firearm for players on a budget.
Favored by pros, The Glock-18 | Ramese’s Reach has Restricted Rarity classification, and you can increase its value with a Souvenir version.
Nova | Sobek’s Bite
Like the other skins in the Anubis Collection, The Nova | Sobek’s Bite has a design that’s heavily inspired by ancient Egyptian art.
You won’t find many on the open market now for some reason, but the ones that are available trade for between $3.10 and $54.59.
P90 | ScaraB Rush
The P90 | ScaraB Rush is a submachine gun with Restricted Rarity, with a drop rate of about 15%. You can normally pick it up for around $12-13, which is surprisingly reasonable.
FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys
FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys is a rare rifle skin with a roughly 3% chance of dropping when you open the Anubis Package. That makes it relatively valuable, particularly if you go for the more desirable Souvenir version.
P250 | Apep’s Curse
The P250 | Apep’s Curse is an ornate pistol skin with a shiny gold body and elaborate curved patterns. Not only is it a rare item, but there’s a Souvenir version too. That makes it relatively costly at between $22.26 and $276.24.
AWP | Black Nile
The AWP | Black Nile is one of the more outstanding designs from the Anubis Package. Its sleek black metal body and abstract pattern of curving silver make it a popular choice.
It’s also fairly common, so you’re likely to end up with one when you open the Anubis Package.
AK-47 | Steel Delta
Unlike many of the other Anubis Package skins, the AK-47 | Steel Delta is all about realism. That may or may not explain why this skin’s value has plummeted since launch, averaging around $2.50.
Tec-9 | Mummy’s Rot
Unappetizing name, unappetizing skin. The Tec-9 | Mummy’s Rot is currently overvalued at $2, and you’d be more than entitled to feel disappointment if you find one in your Anubis Package.
MAG-7 | Copper Coated
Another Mil-Spec skin, the MAG-7 | Copper Coated boasts a fetching liquid copper design. With a drop rate of 80%, it’s not a hard skin to come by, but it looks pretty cool.
